We want to hear your story. It may just be what someone needs to hear to start their practice, continue on their path, or provide a little bit of comfort knowing they are not alone.

Help us to showcase the many faces of meditation or mindfulness and myriad of results. We want your kind of meditation and mindfulness, walking, running, playing music, painting, cooking, what ever your practice, we would love for you to share it.

So tell us how you found peace and calm in your everyday. What it has done for your life. What it feels like for you. Pick one topic or all of them, just tell us your story.


Guidelines

Please review these guidelines before submitting. 

  1. Bring the soul and personality. Humor is as good as heartfelt emotion. We want to know what it’s like to be you, to meditate like you. What has it done for you, what has it changed in you. Don’t try too hard, just open up and share your world.
  2. Our focus is meditation and mindfulness, all shapes, styles and philosophies, as long as it’s about the practice of being present, fully present in the moment, we’re interested.
  3. There is no hard rule on length, but as a rough guide, try to keep stories under 1,000 words. If 25 words packs a punch, great.
  4. Please provide a 100 word description of who you are, what you do, where you live so we can share a bit about you.
  5. If you have a photograph specific to the story, or one that’s a great compliment to the story we would surely appreciate it.
  6. We don’t yet pay for stories; this is purely for the sake of growing a community. However, we are happy to link to a blog or business you run as part of your byline.

Submission Terms and Agreement

We invite you to submit your photos and stories (“Content”) to be considered for publication by Mind And Matter Inc.

By submitting any Content you agree to be bound by the terms of the Mind And Matter Inc. Submission Agreement set forth below:

1.     You (the “Author”) hereby irrevocably grant to Mind And Matter Inc., (the “Publisher”) the unrestricted, perpetual, worldwide right to use the Content freely in while or in part in any manner or medium now known or hereinafter devised for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, without compensation. You retain your ownership rights as applicable, and you will be given appropriate credit or acknowledgment.

2.     Without limitation of the foregoing, You grant Publisher the right to: a) publish the Content in derivative and ancillary forms thereof, including but not limited to, the MindAndMatter.com website and in other print, digital and online formats; b) use all or any portion of the Content in the Publisher’s marketing and promotional materials in print, digital and/or online formats; and c) edit or abridge the Content at the Publisher’s discretion and to select a title and appropriate art to appear with the Content. (For example, Publisher may edit the Content for accurate usage, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and/or space requirements.)

3.     You represent and affirm: a) that you are the sole author, creator and owner of the Content or are submitting the Content with the express consent of the sole owner and have obtained all releases and permissions necessary for Publisher’s use of the Content; b) that the content does not infringe any statutory or common law of copyright or any other intellectual property right or other right of any third party; d) that the content does not invade the rights of privacy or publicity of any person or contain any matter libelous or otherwise in contravention of the right of any person; and e) that all statements in the Content assert as facts are true.

4.     You also represent and affirm that you have full power and authority to enter into and perform this Agreement.

5.     You agree that your submission of the Content will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary, and that Publisher has no obligation to use or Publish any Content which you submit.
